A Happy Child: The Holistic Approach
The Baby Vine offers a holistic learning approach that supports all of the developmental domains including: social & emotional, approaches to learning, language & literacy, creativity & the arts, physical & motor and cognitive development. All of these domains and their components, as outlined in the Minnesota Department of Education Early Childhood Indicators of Progress (ECIPs), are listed below and are equally important in terms of the development of the whole child. Daily activities are created to support each of the domains by incorporating child engaging materials and a variety of learning methods. In addition, authentic observations by the child care providers occur on a daily basis in order to track the developmental progress of each child and adapt ways of supporting individual learning goals. The Baby Vine commits to caring for each child and their unique set of needs as they navigate the early phases of child development in order to best support later stages of life.
Individualized CareThe Baby Vine prides itself on its low ratio model. This critical factor allows for quality attention and support needed for each child as they continue to grow. By providing a holistic, safe, and Eco-Friendly Certified Environment that has been strategically laid out for this age group’s needs, infants and toddlers are able to explore freely without restriction. All children will have developmentally appropriate materials within their reach. Under supervision, children are encouraged to learn at their own rate and pace. For a full explanation of the multi-curriculum and method approach The Baby Vine implements, go to the Multi-Curriculum Method & Approach section.
